Oh. My. Goodness.

Most common sense conservatives understand the notion of a good “work ethic.” We were raised to work hard.

To my Norwegian immigrant grandparents, there was almost no higher compliment than “He (or she) is a hard really worker!”

Remember all those old-timey adages?

“Take what [work] you can get, and look for something better!”

“Anything worth doing is worth doing well!”

Well, obviously the whole work ethic thingy is foreign to generations of young people, including the millennials. In fact, HR friends have told me that while once upon a time job candidates would try to impress prospective bosses and “sell themselves,” now companies have to almost “sell the job” and the corporation!

Thus this video. Which is perfect. Not perfect as in how it should be, but a perfect portrayal of how ridiculous job hunting and interviewing has become.
